Northern Nigeria

I went back home this christmas and I just had to bring a bit of the North (because I live there) back with me, as souvenirs for friends. These are a few of the amazing hand-made stuff that represent Northern Nigeria. The Kwarya (calabash) is used for drinking ‘fura da nono’, woven hand fans, baskets, mats and the tiered drums. As you scroll down, you would see the traditional attire worn by the Fulani’s of the North. It’s white with red, blue and green thread designs.

Spot the henna on my hand!!
