So last weekend, my friend and I decided to do something fun with our time, something different. She was able to find this African fashion exhibition and luckily for us, it was happening right beside us!. Some of the items displayed at the exhibition were Twentieth century art & decor, Egyptian history, world stories and the highlight of our visit, African fashion and style. They selected a few of the outfits made by amazingly talented designers around African cities such as Lagos, Nairobi, Casablanca, and Johannesburg. The designers showcased were:
Deola Sagoe, Lanre Da Silva, Mai Atafo, Maki Oh, Orange Culture, Bubu Ogisi: Nigeria
Thula Sindi: South Africa
The outfits above are the Zaiwa traditional attires worn by the people of Burma. Sadly, I was unable to get the names of all the designers whose outfits interested me.
