Hey my loves,
So this fashion weekend happened on the 10th and 11th, last weekend in Lagos. Every year I tell myself “Lolade, we’re going to the fashion week this year. Let’s test the waters. What’s the worse that could happen?” But nope. I somehow find an excuse not to participate. Typical.
The usual story; I have nothing to wear.
But guess who showed up and showed out!
It’s me guys. Your girl did it!
Asides from a few heartbreaking events here and there;
1. Missed my flight to Lagos on Friday which meant;
2. My hair appointment was cancelled as I planned on getting a hair cut. You know, a girl is just trying to cross out a number of things from the bucket list.
3. Then I also missed my flight back home due to some issues
But as always, God made it all work in my favour.
Day 1 was a bit hectic. Everyone in Lagos seemed to be there so just imagine how unnecessarily full it was. Then the entry for the masterclasses and fashion show was a struggle. An actual struggle. But you see, your girl still got in despite the push and shove.
Also, a hugeeee thank you to my sweet friends who made the weekend a success. MVPs.
For this day, I was going for a comfortable yet chic look. So the bell bottoms came out to play, together with a checked blazer, which BTW is a major trend at the moment, from Hamden (easy shipping to anywhere in Nigeria with a store in Abuja), cute black clutch with circular handle from Charles & Keith, block heels for the ultimate comfort, a white vest from bershka I’ve had for a few years and ASOS straw boater hat to finish it off.
A look you can easily put together from staples in your wardrobe. I reckon switching the bell bottoms for jeans (preferably Boyfriend Jeans) won’t be a bad idea.
always supporting you sweety! keep it up
